Do You know that…
Diameter of balloons is calculated in inches worldwide. This is because the first decorators originated in USA. Here, in Lithuania, we use metric measure system; however, if you memorize dimensions of the most popular balloons in inches, you will be able to speak using professional decorator language.
Helium, to be precise, gas for balloons (helium with additives), is used to fill up the balloons.
Its cargo carrying capacity lifts both small decorative balloons and gigantic air balloons. Helium gas is colorless, odorless and nonflammable rare gas. It perfectly suits for balloon decorating.
„Hi-Float“ supplement is similar to glue. Balloon‘s inside is covered with it and then the balloon is inflated with helium. „Hi-Float“ supplement extends the term of flying of balloons with helium for few times.
Supposing, you have to choose a quality automobile; then opinions of the most persons would be different: one will prefer German, the others – Japanese automobiles. Perhaps most of you sometimes think why shapes made from balloons are so expensive in circus – is it because bending them is so difficult? Definitely not! You need three things:
Just do not inflate the balloons with car-pedal pump, unless you want to get warm up well or get some exercises. You can inflate with mouth only round balloons of at least 5” (13cm).
The smaller the balloons, the harder they are inflated by mouth. If you need to inflate 5-10 balloons, You surely can do it applying such method.
A round balloon must be inflated till it gets an oval shape. If the balloon is round, you have inflated it too little, however, that is not bad, because such a balloon is far resistant to sun influence or child‘s teeth. If you inflate the balloon till it gets the shape of pear it can explode after few minutes. You do not have to inflate the balloon‘s neck, it is designed to be tied.
It is under a delusion that you have to tie the inflated balloon with cotton. A balloon tied this way will flatten in few hours. The balloon‘s neck is designed to be tied, so always inflate the balloon till it gets an oval shape and tie the neck with a knot.
The first man who imagined that balloons can not only be sold but also used to decorate is an American Treb Heining. He was the first to think of how to decorate with balloons, and this was not so long while ago.
Everyone can learn balloon decorating. Neither age nor other limitations exist.
